Girls Aloud released their first single Sounds Of The Underground in December 2002 amid a whirl of hype and excitement. The band, formed by a public vote on the tv show Popstars:The Rivals, made No.1 with that single, following up with a No.2 album of the same name in May 2003.

What Will The Neighbours Say is the second album for Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Cheryl Tweedy, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding. Released in November 2004, it features the Children In Need fundraiser I’ll Stand By You (No. 1 in Nov 04) as well as the cheeky summer comeback The Show (No. 2 in July 04) and Love Machine (another No. 2 in Sept 04).
