The daddy of today's three chord punk bands, Green Day's success continues 15 years after their debut indie LP. The band hit the big time in 1994 with their major-label debut Dookie, released on Interscope. The album sold 10 million records worldwide and included the classic singles Basket Case and Long View. Their next album Insomniac (1995), was followed by Nimrod (1997) - another giant album, this time including the infectious single Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life). The album's Warning: (2000) and Shenanigans (2002) came next before the acclaimed American Idiot (2004) brought about yet another tremendous career-peak.
