The Killers may hail from the party town USA, but the music of these Las Vegas newcomers has a distinctly British twang. Named after a fictional group in a New Order video and influenced by the likes of The Smiths, The Cure and The Clash, it's no surprise that the band have a found a spiritual home in the UK. Formed in 2002, the band comprises Brandon Flowers (lyricist, vocals), David Keuning (guitars), Mark Stoermer (bass) and Ronnie Vannucci (drums). The upbeat album Hot Fuss, released in June 2004, has so far produced three UK singles - the top 10 Mr Brightside (May 2004), plus All These Things That I've Done (August 2004) and Somebody Told Me, (January 2005).
