They come not from Outer Space but from the inner city; from Liverpool, like so many pop greats before them. In fact, for The Zutons –namely David McCabe, Boyan Chowdhury, Sean Payne, Russell Pritchard, and latterly Abi Harding, this is the second coming. Early singles Devil’s Deal (Sept 2002) and Creepin’ An’ A Crawlin’ (May 2003) found a few dedicated fans, but it was the pyschedelic cartoon punk album Who Killed The Zutons?, produced by Ian Broudie and released in April 2004 which really made their name. Singles Pressure Point (Jan 2004) and Confusion (Dec 2004) recently featured in ad campaigns for Levi’s and Peugeot, bringing the band’s music to a wider audience still.
