For Air Miles we leveraged a significant number of advocates to encourage sign up and social media engagement. To achieve this we created a branded social presence on Facebook and promoted this through social media and PR.
User generated content increased 500 fold and in three weeks achieved over 4000 "opt in" fans . A follow up campaign reached 254,000 Facebook members in just 2 months.
